Understanding by Design is a curriculum and assessment planning framework widely used across the world. The focus of Understanding by Design is teaching for understanding and transfer. This Learning Path, in which participants will explore the key ideas of Stage 2 - Performance Tasks, will help educators become better equipped to plan assessments within the UbD framework.
This Learning Path, facilitated by Jay McTighe, co-author of Understanding by Design, provides participants with information about the characteristics of Performance Tasks. This practical learning experience is designed for educators who are beginning their study of backward curriculum design. Through a variety of videos, collaborative discussions, interactive tools, hands-on activities, and reflections, participants will gain an understanding of backward curriculum design.
